Education, Youth & Family

Sunday School: Grace offers Sunday School for all ages during the learning hour at 9:45 each Sunday, September through May. Classes are offered for children beginning at age two, confirmation age youth, high school age youth, and adult Bible study. Click here to register your child.

Our Sunday School program offers faith-building Christian education for all ages.

Confirmation: Our confirmation program is a three year program beginning in sixth grade. We meet in plenary session using Augsburg Fortress’ Here I Stand curriculum, and then break into small groups led by adult mentors called Guides. In addition to the education component, small groups are involved in service projects and interactive fellowship time. Confirmation students are also encouraged to participate in worship through serving as acolytes, greeters, ushers, or altar guild.

High School Sunday School:
The high school class meets in the Youth Room and uses a variety of youth-centered, exciting curriculum.

Adult Bible Study: The adult class meets in the conference room every Sunday. The Bible is examined from a fresh perspective with plenty of lively discussion. Also, throughout the year, adult topical classes and/or Bible studies are offered in the evening.

Reformation Sunday is celebrated with an appearance from Martin Luther himself.

Each year children from the Sunday School put on a Christmas program. Last year’s was entitled, “The Night the Animals Sang.”

  Grace’s 2009 graduates. Congratulations!

EFF does not meet during the summer, but will resume in September.

Family Activities
Several activities for families are held throughout the year. These include a pumpkin carving night, swimming, Lugnuts game, Home Plate (Tiger baseball), sledding, and various other events.

The family pumpkin carving night, held in October,
attracted several young families. Many came with
creative carving implements.

“Capernaum, PD” was the title of the theater production put on by Grace
members. Money raised was donated to local charities including The Humane
Society and Gleaner’s Food Bank.
